Angel Capital gives the impression of being ready to explode to new heights for Waller. Ridden by Ben Melham in the Orr, the clash with his wife Jamie Melham on Evaporate is likely to be another feature.
Evaporate was erratic, throwing his head around and difficult to control, under Nash Rawiller behind outstanding Autumn Glow at Randwick recently. And there is no stronger saddle influence than Rawiller.
However trainers, the Hayes brothers of Euroa, are changing gear from a Norton bit that would control a rampaging bull to a lugging bit and nose band. And the special touch of Jamie Melham.
Evaporate cannot do anything wrong and beat the top Jimmystar and Angel Capital, but the Melbourne Cup winning jockey could hold the key …

Triumphant at six out of eight, Yorkshire drew 13 and takes on the tough and seasoned Pride team. Old Coal Crusher, now eight but still firing, is strongly fancied. Pride has the knack of getting him right for this meeting.

Estadio Mestalla, at $20, humped 63kg jumping from 11, to score at Randwick last start in a final stride upset from stablemate Accredited ($3.30) who gets a return bout on Saturday.
With Andrew Atkins aboard, Accredited from the three gate should get the run of the race while Estadio Mestalla commences from wide (18). Beware. The gelding has the navigation of Adam Hyeronimus, skilled liked few others from the outside.
Golden Mile, carrying the Godolphin blue, makes up the Pride four. Only 13th recently at his second start for the stable Golden Mile will get blinkers for The Hunter. “Don’t undersell,” opined Best Bets about his prospects.
Of course the Godolphin move from James Cummings to other trainers has flooded the market with stable changes like never previously.
With the trend, the “wrong stablemate (longer odds) winning” has become prevalent. Put bluntly: more tryers.
